As Free As My Hair . . .

Aubrey wants to do something "crazy" with her hair. Annnd she wants me to do it with her. Sooo . . . she's going to do colored tips that look something like this:

And I'm going to do just plain red tips that look something like this:

Only my hair is much longer than this and I think I'm only going to do about an inch of color (just in case I decide I hate it and want to hack it off.) ;) I haven't done anything with my hair color in years, so this will be interesting. And fun. :)

I'll post pictures of us tomorrow so you all can see how it turned out!

Loooooooooooong Day.

Today was a loooooooong day. (That's not even enough "o's". (Times that by about . . . oh . . . a MILLION.) ;) It started early and it's (hopefully) going to end early, but if feels like it's already 10 p.m.. I think it's actually about 5. Haha.

But . . . I did get to see a raccoon riding in the back of a pickup truck today. And that is too cool. It makes the entire 10 hours I spent on my feet in the sweltering hot shop completely worth it. My only regret is not snagging a photo to share with all of you fine people.

I did, however, happen to snag 3 dates. Yesssss. The first one will be this Friday with my new buddy, Will. I'll be driving to Logan for this all to go down, though. Ugh. I don't know what my deal is with driving. I just hate doing it. Nooo idea why.

I have a confession. I'm stoked about our date, but I'm totally bummed that it's not with the boy I'd really like to be spending my weekend with.

Breakups are the devil, are they not?

Okay. I'm thinking a workout is in order (especially since I downed a couple of cookies today out of pure stress. Ugh!), and then I need to hit the shower followed shortly by my PILLOW!

There may be tears tonight. Then again, I may be strong.

 . . . I guess we'll see. (Well . . . I'LL see . . . )

Good night, all! :)

*Update!! One of my fb friends DID manage to snag a photo of said raccoon in said pickup truck. Enjoy!

Picture.

I had promised a picture . . . so here it is:

That's my progress. I suppose it's kinda hard to tell without the other pic to compare it to, but . . . meh.

Oh! I made a shirt yesterday. Yes . . . made. :) I'll show you a pic of that, too. :)

It's intended for working out in (specifically my ab workout), but I thought it turned out pretty darn cute.

I desperately need a nap. I didn't get nearly enough sleep last night and then I pulled a 10 hour work shift today. Fun stuff! I've also only completed one workout so far. I think I'm going to skip the treadmill today. Way too tired.

6 Week Challenge Update!

Alright. It's Saturday, and I promised an update. As you may recall, the goal was to lose 5 lbs by today. Well, I am pleased to report that I had lost 6 lbs by Wednesday. But since that was a little quick, I took it "easy" Thursday and Friday. By "easy", I just mean that I ate more of whatever I wanted. I still worked out like a crazy person.

Last week my focus was lower body. This week my focus is core. I'm already sore. And I'm only on day 1 of this week. Haha. I actually really LOVE it! I did take some pictures to post, but I don't have my cord for my phone with me, so I can't post them yet. I'll get those up pretty quick. I can already see a pretty big difference! Woot! I guess that leaves me with 19 (24) lbs left to lose by June 30th.

I got this!

Another Random Text. Yessss! :)

I am aware that I already said "good night", but something came up and I had to share it with you. I LIVE for moments exactly. like. this one. :)

Random text received at 10:31 p.m.:

Hey Neesh, it's Brandy. My new phone finally got here. So, let's do this! How about tomorrow?

I was asleep when I received this text, but a big ol' grin immediately took over my entire face, and I wasn't worried about lost sleep. These opportunities are too rare and too precious to get upset over. My return text sent at 10:32 p.m.:

Hey! Saweeet! What phone did you end up getting? Did you go with the  Nokia 6120 like I suggested? (You know, that was the best selling phone in '98.) Let's definitely do this! Quick question . . . Can I bring my sister?

Brandy replies a few minutes later with:

Umm, yeah. I guess that would be fine. If you really want to. And I didn't go with a Nokia. I don't remember you suggesting that?? I got a new iPhone.

Me: Oh, okay! Cool! I think you would have been happier with the Nokia, but the iPhone is cool, too, I guess. And thanks for letting my sister come. She's really excited. She's running to the store right now to stock up on TP.

Brandy: TP?

Me: Yeah. TP. Toilet Paper . . .

Brandy: Oh. Okay. Why, though?

Me: Won't we be needing it?? Oh, she's wondering if it would be too much trouble if her dog came along, too. He's still just a puppy, so he shouldn't be too much trouble. He only weighs like 65 lbs or something like that. Is that cool?

Brandy (after about 5 minutes): Umm . . . I mean, can he stay in the car? Is he potty trained?

Me: Well, define "potty trained". Do you mean does he wait to go to the bathroom outside? . . . No. But we have diapers for him. Of course, those don't do much for the smell when he goes, but at least poop doesn't get everywhere. The last time he pottied in one, we only had to clean up three spots on the carpet where it leaked out. But that's better than what it could have been, ya know?

Brandy: Yeah. That's cool. Do you think she could just leave him at home, maybe? I'm not sure I want him in my car. I'm sorry. :? Is that what the toilet paper is for?

Me: I'm not even sure what to do with that question. It doesn't make sense. Are you asking me if the TP is for the dog?? No, silly! I'm not sure if you've ever had a dog or not, but they don't actually require wiping. They pretty much just do their business and that's that. And even if he goes in the diaper we don't us TP on the dog. It wouldn't be strong enough to clean that mess up, anyway.

Brandy: I actually haven't ever had a dog, but you know that. Is this really Neesha?

Me: Is this really Brandy?

Brandy: Yes.

Me: Are you SURE? Because you are acting kind of strange . . .

Brandy: Omg! I got the wrong number! I'm so sorry! Who IS this??

And it really just gets boring from there.

I am going to bed happy. :)

Feeling Old. ;)

Is it lame that it's not even 6:30 and I'm already going to bed?? Haha. This workout routine combined with my new 10 hour work days is going to do me in pretty epicly for the first little bit. That's okay. I've got no complaints about feeling tired this early. Sleep suits me just fine! ;)

Sadly, I didn't even get to do my whole yoga routine. I only made it through about 30 minutes of the 40 minute routine before I was too tired to do any more. I ended up laying down instead of finishing my Sun Salutation. When I tried to get up and realized that I almost couldn't, I decided it was okay to just retire for the night.

And that's what I'm doing. But here is what I have under my belt for the day:

30 minutes of Shred it with Weights
Worked from 7 - 5 (it was 86 degrees in the shop today)
2 mile "hike" (25 minutes almost exactly. Hey . . . it's not a race.)
30 minutes of yoga

And I've been awake since 5:20. I'd say I'm golden for the day.

Goodnight! :)

Going to bed a little heartbroken tonight.

There may even be tears. ???

I actually had a really awesome day filled with family, food and fun, but I can't shake this feeling that I've got some heartache coming my way. I suppose that, since I feel that way, I'll bring it about one way or another. Maybe this post will even help bring my fears to reality.

Why am I so afraid of love??

I guess I'm not afraid of love. Just of losing it.

Ugh.

Goodnight.

I'm Home!

I'm back at home and ready to get back to my usual routine. I've had a pretty awesome two weeks. I'm not sure I could even remember everything that we did to blog about it. I know we went to the museum in Idaho Falls and the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman. We went and saw The Avengers in 3D at Edwards. That was my first 3D movie experience. And it. was. awesome. We also played "folf" a couple of times for my first time. I was into it. I sucked pretty bad, though. Which is a little surprising considering I'm pretty good at Ultimate Frisbee . . .

I took a few photos while Zach and I were together. Here are a few of them.

These two pictures were taken at the Idaho Falls museum. I can't remember what day we went on, but immediately after our arrival, 3 bus loads of elementary students showed up and swarmed the place. We took refuge in the Eagle Rock exhibit until they cleared out enough for us to make a bee-line for the exit. Haha.

These next two pictures were taken at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman. I didn't take any photos inside since there were signs asking me not to. ;) The bottom picture is Zach trying to duck out of the shot. He's adorable. Zach took me to the Planetarium in the museum even though he had already been. I'm not sure that he had a fabulous time doing so, but I'm glad we went. I enjoyed myself. (Thanks, babe . . . if you read this.)

These next pictures are of the pond near Zach's apartment. It's gorgeous there. I could definitely see myself living in Bozeman, no problem. Technically this is (Belgrade?), though. Belgrade? I think that's the name . . . Anyway . . . these are the pics:

A couple of days into my trip there we decided to go on a simple hike. I had started getting sick with what I imagine was a stomach bug the night before, and on the morning of I really, really wanted to puke, but I went anyway. I ended up having to take it pretty easy because nausea kept becoming an issue, but Zach was a good sport about it even though I totally ruined his hike. Here are a couple of pictures from that. They start out at the bottom of the hill. You can see the "M" on the mountain. That's where we hiked to (to the top of that "M").

I always thought Thai food was my favorite (and it's still way, way up there), but I now know for sure that Sushi is in fact my most favorite food. And my boy is a bit of an expert in the field. He took me to the Sushi place in Idaho Falls on Holmes and ordered for both of us (since I had no idea what I was doing). Oh, man. Amazing. Then we ate Sushi a couple more times at a great little place in Bozeman called Dave's Sushi. $75 for one lunch (for both of us). Whaaa??? Crazy. But soooo worth it. Here are just a few more random pictures of my trip in Bozeman, including one of the Sushi. ;)

If you want to get technical . . . this was our "first date". It lasted just over two weeks and cost about $2000. I have to admit that about two hours after arriving back home, I actually started to feel "homesick" for Bozeman and Zach's company. Is that normal? It's not normal for ME. It almost freaked me out a little bit. I say "almost" because I sat myself down and allowed myself to just feel without putting my normal, stupid barrier up. And I realized that I really care for that boy. And I'm a little sad that our date is over. But I take comfort in knowing that he has invited me to his buddy's wedding the end of June, so I'll be seeing him again here shortly. There was some stuff that went down right before I came home, so I was a little surprised that my feelings were so strong. (Long story.)

This much is for sure, though: I really, really like that boy.

Hickey Lip

Zach is here. And it's been a great three days so far. The road trip up to get him went well. My sister drove and brought our buddy, John, along. Here's a list of the things Zach and I have already done with the results of who won:

Chess - My victory (twice)
Frisbee Golf - Zach's victory
Pool - Zach's Victory
Mario Kart - My victory (many, many times. He has yet to beat me. Same with Chess.)
Making out - Duel victory

But speaking of making out . . . the boy gave me a hickey on my lip! . . .??? How does that happen?? Seriously, check it:

Can you see it?? Haha!

I also wanted to show you my nails because I think they turned out really great!

24 hours from now . . .

Jessie James - Bullet .mp3
Found at bee mp3 search engine

Alright. It's down to 24 hours, people! 24 hours and Zach and I will be kicking it, doing whatever (hopefully making out!). I'm pretty flippin' excited. Can't lie. We have some epic plans, so it should be a good week.

All the stress has given me a headache, though. And I normally don't get headaches. I think I've maybe had 5 in my entire life. I need to draw myself a nice bubble bath, slap on a clay face mask and kick it with my Kindle for a bit. That sounds awesome, right? Then I can make Hailee rub my shoulders and call it a night!

Mmmm . . . I'm excited!
